Sioux City Young Ambassadors
The Sioux City Mayor's Youth Commission's Young Ambassadors program recognizes and mentors students (grades 4-7) who demonstrate good character and/or exceptional leadership, providing them with opportunities for civic engagement and community service.
Program Goal:
The program aims to foster leadership skills, civic engagement, and a sense of community responsibility among young people.
Who is Involved?
The program is facilitated by the Mayor's Youth Commission and Growing Community Connections, with mentors from both organizations guiding the young ambassadors.
How to Nominate:
Teachers, counselors, parents, and other community members can nominate students who display good character and/or leadership qualities.
Program Outcomes:
The program aims to help youth make a positive impact in their community, develop their potential, and increase their knowledge and skills through leadership sessions and community service.
